Reunion Apr. 2024 Newsletter

God is at workin and through us. Could we have been any more blessed this past month?  We are still looking back, marvelling at the work of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  Deep teaching, wonderful fellowship, and incredible moments of worship filled our hearts and minds.  We also were so blessed by the servantContinue reading “Reunion Apr. 2024 Newsletter”

Neo-Philistine – Biblical Deconstruction and Biblical Illiteracy

The progressive evangelical Christian movement proposes that there are multiple ways to connect with God other than Jesus Christ. It is an attack against the moral and spiritual authority of biblical truth. This biblical deconstruction is a serious, growing threat to the health of the Church and to maturity of Christians.

What Christians Must Know About The Jewish Claim to the Land of Israel

Scripture is very clear that they – Israel, are God’s chosen people and they are the ones God bound Himself by covenant promise. Three thousand, seven hundred years ago God promised Abraham favor and blessing. God promised to multiply his offspring and to make him a great nation with a great name, Most importantly, by God’s own covenant promise He gave Abraham the territorial rights to a very specific region of land. This land was given to Abraham and his offspring by God – and Abraham and his descendants have occupied the land in some form or another – they have been there since God delivered it to their hands. What if you left your house for a month – when you came back someone else had moved and now said the home belonged to them. Whose house, whose land is it?

God’s Love is Stonger Than Cupid

January has absolutely flown by! We were blessed with God answering our prayers for healing for Pastor Steve’s detached retina. And, thank you to everyone who prayed for “Chicago Donnie”, who had very serious AND very successful surgery. The Movement youth had a fruitful winter camp, and Pastor Gary Hay, a long-time friend of the Reunion Church, spent some time with us, delivering a powerful message on how to faithfully walk with God.

The “Where Do You Sit, Where Do You Serve” message from Pastor Steve has resonated on so many levels. God is moving people forward to serve in new ways, and some are stepping forward to serve for the first time at the Reunion Church.

A New Year’s Message From Pastor Steve

As we enter 2024, God is unfolding His plans for the Reunion Church – plans to use each of us in His Kingdom work. Pastor Steve’s message, “Where Do You Sit – Where Do You Serve,” is a challenge to each of us to step forward into our God-ordained places in His service. Serving God is our highest honor and greatest responsibility.

Monday of Holy Week

Jesus hungered, but He fed thousands; indeed, He is the bread of heaven that gives life to all mankind. He was thirsty—but He cried, “If any man thirsts let him come to Me and drink.” He promises that fountains will flow from all those who believe.

Thursday of Holy Week

First, there was a final Passover meal with His closest friends and His beloved disciples. Secondly, sometime during the meal, Jesus revealed to his twelve that He is aware of the desertion, denial, and betrayal that had already begun in their heart and would continue on that night.

Resurrection Sunday

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Isaiah 60:1-3

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday at the Reunion Church in Peoria AZ provides the opportunity to look closely at the message of Jesus as He enters Jerusalem. “Die to live. Follow to lead. Serve to rule. Be last to be first. Get to give. Sacrifice to receive. Be silent to be heard. Be the least to be the most. Humble yourself to lift yourself. Surrender all to be free of all. Lose yourself to save yourself. End the old to begin the new. Love openly, forgive quickly, give freely, pray faithfully, and speak truthfully.”
