Alignment in This Moment Will Bring Fulfillment in the Next

bible teaching sermons

January 4th, Word and Vision for 2026

2026 will be a year of both spiritual and natural alignment, with both serving the purposes and plans fulfillment by the mighty hands and heart of our Sovereign God. The Word of the Lord was specific rather than a religiously stereotypical, umbrella-like generalization.

“On every front – (personal, local, and global) move quickly and decidedly into alignment with My eternal Word, My divine will, and My narrow ways into the Kingdom. Align yourselves in Me above personal pursuit and situational preferences in the days ahead, and fulfillment of My promises will come next. These are the days of the Almighty – not the days of man. Pray My will be done, and you will align. Pray My Kingdom come, and there will be fulfillment. Alignment in this moment will bring fulfillment in the next.”

This is a call to actionable and fluid faith; faith requiring the courage of the saints gone before us and the culture-defying righteousness of the eternal Word – Christ the Messiah. This is not a metaphorical rebuild or rebranding. This is the call to biblical alignment and the fulfillment of B’ryit Shamar Elohim.

As we align, He fulfills.

Question:

Have We Aligned Ourselves Enough for the Fulfillment of His Purposes in 2026?

Premise:

The Sovereign God of Creation Assigns Meaning and Purpose. He Requires Alignment Only to Bring Us Into the Moments of Fulfillment and Completion of the Eternal Promises of His Unabated and Unchanging Word.

“Like the vital power in ourselves that gives us the ability to fight and endure, to dare and to conquer, which drives us to experience the bitter and the perilous, there is an urge in wistful souls to starve rather than be fed on sham and distortion.”

…Abraham Heschel

Biblical Alignment Emphasis:

Jeremiah 29:5-13 “מצאחם וו י בקשחם”

“‘Build yourselves houses, and live in them. Plant gardens, and eat what they produce. Choose women to marry, and have sons and daughters. Choose wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage to men, so that they can have sons and daughters—increase your numbers there, don’t decrease. Seek the welfare of the city to which I have caused you to go in exile, and pray to Adonai on its behalf; for your welfare is bound up in its welfare.’ For this is what AdonaiTzva’ot, the God of Isra’el, says: ‘Don’t let your prophets who are living among you and your diviners deceive you, and don’t pay attention to the dreams you urge them to dream. For they are prophesying falsely in my name; I have not sent them,’ says Adonai. For here is what Adonai says: ‘After Bavel’s seventy years are over, I will remember you and fulfill my good promise to you by bringing you back to this place. For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai,‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future. When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly; and I will let you find me,’ says Adonai.” CJB

Colossians 2:5-10 “ho anthropos ten paradosin batata stocheia toukosmos”

For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.” ESV

John 15:4-5 “meinate en emoi kago en hymin”

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” ESV

Spiritual Emphasis:

Prayer and Fasting

Matthew 17:21-22

“And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” And He *said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. [“But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”] NASB

Spiritual Service

Romans 12:1-2

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” ESV

Biblical Fidelity

Hebrews 6:17-18

“So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.”

Receiving revelation from the Spirit of truth of God and His Word, His Will, and His Ways requires alignment from those seeking and receiving divine fulfillment. We align ourselves with and to what has been revealed, thereby righteously aligning ourselves for the moments of fulfillment that bring all He has promised to complete and finish in us and for us. In a spiritual and biblical context, fulfillment should be understood as completion, and finish comes from alignment, not confusion. Not only a fulfillment for this life, but also the ultimate fulfillment of His promises to us for the life to come.

I align my word, my will, my ways to the Lord God Almighty. He is before everything and above everyone – for there is none like Him.

There is no priority to alignment or assignment above that of the Sovereign God.

There is no authority or order greater than the authority and order of God.

Inductive Conclusions

What is it that obstructs and distracts our absolute and outright alignment to the Word, the Will, and the Ways of God? The answer is painfully simple – it is our flesh. The will of our flesh is the enemy of our faith and faithfulness. It is that “wildcard”, our “spiritual kryptonite”, that one “certain uncertainty” that we must continually battle against. To understand the width and depth of the threat of our enemy, there are “biblical tells” that alert us to the looming danger. Remember, we are not fighting our flesh and blood – but against the cosmic powers over this present darkness and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. This biblical truth will shed some light on our struggle. Our flesh and human will feed and feel off of the ways and will of this temporal world – it will die and decay.

Our spirit and soul are eternal, and they feed and feel off of the eternal Word and the world to come. The way to overcome our weak will and our forceful flesh is to feed our soul that which it was created for – the living and eternal Word. Let me put it this way: Our flesh is fed by this temporal world – our soul is fed by the eternal Word.

Our Flesh is Temporal, not Eternal. Our Soul is Eternal, It’s not Temporal.

The Soul of Man Never Dies.

Consequently, the temporal flesh will always find itself misaligned with the eternal Word, supreme will, and narrow ways of God, thereby delaying or prohibiting the desired moments of divine fulfillment.

We must know that the flesh will always be unfulfilled. The desires of our flesh are unsatisfiable, its appetites are insatiable, and its demands are unmeetable. It is good to know that our flesh can surely feel – force – fear – fail – feed and then face its own consequences. However, other than the sacrificial flesh of Jesus the Messiah, the temporal human flesh simply cannot finish or fulfill anything. It can never finish what it starts or fulfill what it promises because it is the God created part of us that can only be finished or fulfilled by the work that He alone has begun in us. That work is born of the Spirit and not of the flesh.

Philippians 1:6

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” ESV

John 3:6

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” ESV

Spiritual and Biblical Alignment:

To Agree (Matthew 18:19)

To Unite (Ephesians 1:9-10)

To Follow (2 Timothy 1:13-14)

To Bind (Proverbs 3:1-12)

To Surrender One’s Will (Galatians 2:20)

To Trust (Proverbs 3:5-6)

To Put in Order (Mark 12:29-31)

To Prioritize and Position (Matthew 6:33)

To Straighten (Hebrews 12:13)

To Have in Common (Colossians 3:12-14)

To Share What Is Held in Common (Jude 1:3)

To Complete or Finish What We Start (Philippians 1:6)

Jeremiah 23:28-32

“If a prophet has a dream,

let him tell it as a dream.

But someone who has my word

    should speak my word faithfully.

    What do chaff and wheat

    have in common?” asks ADONAI.

“Isn’t my word like fire,” asks ADONAI,

    “like a hammer shattering rocks?

So, I am against the prophets,” says ADONAI,

“who steal my words from each other.

Yes, I am against the prophets,” says ADONAI,

“who speak their own words, then add, ‘He says.’

“I am against those who concoct prophecies out of fake dreams,” says ADONAI. “They tell them, and by their lies and arrogance they lead my people astray. I didn’t send them, I didn’t commission them, and they don’t do this people any good at all,” says ADONAI. CJB
