Join us on Sunday, August 25th at 10:30 AM!  Fall Kickoff at the Reunion Church is an annual event at our non-denominational Christian church in Peoria AZ. We celebrate our students, student athletes, teachers, coaches, and families.  Special guest speakers are invited to deliver words of challenge and encouragement to students, followed by a prayer of blessing over each student, teacher, coach, and student athlete as they embark on the new school year. 

This year Head Coach Jeff Bowen from Arizona Christian University’s Firestorm football team joins us.  Coach Bowen has led ACU to three conference titles and two NAIA Football Champship Series appearances since he began at ACU coaching in 2014. Coach Bowen is also the receipient of the 2021 NAIA Coach of Character Award.

The Reunion Church also welcomes Head Coach Richard Taylor from Centennial High School.  Coach Taylor is no stranger to our church in Peoria AZ, as Senior Pastor Steve Isaac has coached for many years at Coach Taylor’s side.  Coach Taylor was awarded teh Frank Kush Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted into the Arizona High School Coaching Hall of Fame, with seven state titles and numerous State Championship appearances from the Centennial Coyotes.  More importantly, Coach Taylor is a man of tremendous integrity, and invests deeply into the lives of the young men he coaches. 

Coach Taylor recently stated about his lifetime achievement award, “The thing that I’m most proud of is that, since 1994, we’ve helped place 256 players in the college — several of them were the first kid in their family ever to go to college,” Taylor said. “Most players who I have the opportunity to coach probably are never going to make a penny from football. But if they get a college degree, that’s something that lasts forever.”
